Using iMeet for Marketing

Here at PGi we use iMeet for just about all of our meeting needs. But how can other professions use this personal new tool? The below video shows how marketing professionals can incorporate iMeet in their day-to-day activities. In a past digital marketing internship job I used video all the time to interview artists around the globe when travel wasn’t possible.  Marketing is such a diverse and ever-changing arena, so the fact that iMeet includes social media links and distinct visuals makes it the perfect outlet to foster creative, inspiring meetings.

GlobalMeet 2.1: Web Conferencing That Makes Even More Sense

Language barriers don’t exist with the new GlobalMeet 2.1. The updated international languages (German and French) are just the beginning when it comes to boosting our web + audio conferencing solution with innovative new features!

Now, not only can you conduct a meeting in your language across the globe, but you’ll be in tune with who’s saying what along the way. GlobalMeet’s fully integrated conference call and web meeting offering is the most seamless experience in the business. Audio conferencing integration  enables “active talker,” which shows who has the floor so you always know who’s talking.

Going Virtual with Your Health

Health Fairs are important for corporations. These gatherings of physicians, therapists, and vendors help employees gain crucial information and allow those in the health industry to spread the word. But, as is the case with many of these fairs, long lines, stifling crowds and immense stacks of handouts make for a hectic, and at times unhealthy experience! Last week, PGi’s HR department took the annual benefits fair from table tops to desktops for its first ever Virtual Health Fair.

Using iMeet and GlobalMeet to host the fair helped supercharge our benefits communications and make it more convenient for employees to participate. From food portion control to prescriptions, vendors shared information on ways PGi associates could live healthier, more balanced lives. In turn, we demonstrated how the HR industry can use iMeet and GlobalMeet for their business needs.

Blogging with iMeet

Throughout college, I nourished my nerd tendencies through blogging. As I’ve transitioned into the real world, I’ve continued to find time for it. One of my blogs focuses on music, art and design. My other blog focuses on more of a lost cause, though one that is (sadly) equally important to me—the Kansas City Royals. I work on each of these blogs with a different friend. Whether we’re critiquing the new Bon Iver album, summoning the courage to be optimistic about the Royals’ youth movement,or posting travel photos, blogging has become a core element of our identities.

PGi in the Community: Rose Brooks Center – Kansas City

While PGi is all about energizing connections around the globe and in the office, through products such as iMeet and GlobalMeet, we also realize the importance of forging connections within the community. This commitment to community is why PGi KS we’ll be volunteering with the Rose Brooks Center this summer and fall.

Since Rosa Brooks opened her Kansas City home as a safe house for domestic abuse victims in 1979, the Rose Brooks Center has expanded to an emergency shelter for up to 75 women and children. The Rose Brooks Center is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and providing comprehensive care to those affected by it. Prevention programming, crisis intervention, life skills development and supportive and therapeutic services are just a few of the ways in which those at Rose Brooks are striving to make a difference.

Warding off Evil, Reservations Troubleshooting and PGi Malaysia’s Grand Opening

Who would have guessed that PGi’s continued global growth would involve a symbolic lion dance? That was just the case last month, as we opened a Malaysian office in Jaya One Kuala Lumpur. In traditional Malaysian fashion, two dancers mimicked a lion’s movements inside a costume to scare away evil and summon luck and fortune. While we’re confident no evil spirits lurk within the building, we were thrilled to be a part of such an honored tradition. We hope for the best of web conferencing luck and prosperity in our newest location.
